OUR CAFE

We opened our cafe in the wonderful, bustling Oud West district of Amsterdam in 2016. We fell in love with this location for many reasons, the most important being that it allows us to engage with a local community who are seeking out quality coffee and food, and who care about freshness, seasonality with genuine good service and hospitality.

OUR ROASTERY

Our roastery is located in Westhavenweg to the west of the city. We roast on a 12kg Probat, and take great care to preserve the quality and integrity of each coffee we carefully source by highlighting the most exquisite characteristics in each lot. We are committed to creating great coffee and bringing it to the people who appreciate it even more.

OUR COFFEE CLASSES

Monks Coffee classes are a fun, jargon free, informative, hands-on introduction to specialty coffee. Learn from a professional barista how to master the art of espresso-making or make exceptional filter coffee. All of our classes are suited to curious newcomers and passionate home baristas as well as professionals wanting to brush up on their skills. You’ll leave with new knowledge, skills and coffee-making confidence – and some amazing beans to drink at home. See you in class!
